VACATION!

Well, I am officially on Vacation until 19 February and it's nice. Sleeping in and shopping and watching all of Alex Jones' conspiracy documentaries. Watched one last night -- not by Alex Jones -- about how the American Drug War; basically saying that since Nixon declared a war on drugs in the seventies the drug problem has steadily increased and worsened so now people aren't consuming "earth" drugs but synthetic drugs. The documentary did a side-by-side comparison with Amsterdam that was hilarious. The government has built private jails for drug users (not dealers -- they go to prison), where they are living in compounds and working the chain gang. And of course, discussions about how the drugs are getting into the country which inevitably leads to the CIA...check it out.

Enough of that. A couple days ago, I hopped on my hog and drove all the way out to Hamduk Beach. Hiked up the hill. It was a cold day, no one was on the beach and I only ran into three people during my entire hike. Even though it was freezing to ride there in that cold it was nice to get out for fresh air and exercise. It's so cold these days you can see your breath. Me no likey. But, shouldn't last much longer. The scenery on top of the "mountain" -- big orum or hill -- is really pretty but I'd left my camera at home!

Bill had his birthday party Tuesday night, 12 of us went to VIPS (a restaurant famous for steak and their buffet). I ordered Tenderloin, but they seriously undercooked it. The buffet salad was okay but not great, they did have caesar salad though...very nice.

Afterwards we went to Led Zepplin Bar near our apartment building for more celebrating. I had two beers and then went home. I don't know what is happening to me lately but I'm not up for hard parting...I think I've finally become old. Naw, just a rough patch.

The rest went to Agave for more drinking and, I heard, came home 5 ish.

Oh, and one of the best nights recently was when we went to La Vie Bar for "Nashville Nights". Joey and Johanne sang both cover and original songs. The venue small, the wine cheap, the music excellent.

Yesterday, Danila and I walked down to EMART, which is a good distance away, and went shopping. EMART is like Walmart. I bought more free weights (cause I'm too lazy/cold to drive to the gym) and groceries. Outide they had AMAZING sales one; winter coats for $5-10!! I bought a sleeveless one. For eleven dollars Danilla bought a white winter coat, blanket, and four pairs of socks.

It is Lunar New Years here so everyone has Wednesday thru Friday off. The streets are not busy, the weather is cold and the sky is dark and cloudy. I'm sure it's not nearly as bad as winter back home (been watching video clips of the snow storms) but it still sucks. I wanna drive my Hog down coastal roads man!
