Huatulco, Mexico

I haven't written in forever! So much has been missed of course, but I'll try and briefly fill in the gaps:

I arrived in Mexico September 16th and am leaving March 3rd 2009. I was going to stay an entire year but...money and such. I've decided to return to Korea -- Seoul this time -- to make money and take a masters degree in TESOL. Obviously, I can't afford it on this salary!

The university hour are too long 8am to 7pm with a three hour lunch break and the town is small but beautiful. I had a beautiful apartment with my co-worker Angela but she was...grrr, so I moved out and got my own place, sans pool. Did snorkelling and body surfing. Saw beautiful oceans and bays, met a few great people: you know who you are! :)

Mostly, I didn't write because I didn't have internet or had VERY slow internet. Now, I'm sitting at Club Chaue drinking a Victoria, smoking a cigarette, watching the winter sun glisten off the ocean blue. Hey, somebody's got to do it!

I had a moto with gears! That I LOVED driving (and was so proud of myself for being able to drive) but it was stolen just last week as was my wallet -- yesterday.

I really enjoyed my students, they are really lovely and that is the only word to describe them. Simply lovely. Even when they don't do their homework and talk in class, it's almost impossible for me to scold them and then I immediately forgive them of course.

Exams are this week coming and then, that's it. How time has flown!

I will remember many, some more than others. I hope I am making the right decision in leaving. Obama has been elected and the States is on the verge of collapse, Canada too. The world for that matter but I don't care, I am living my life it's all I can do. I had a great night at the Papaya a few months back where I danced until dawn; my only time getting high here too.

I will try and write more often now. It's really impossible to fill in the gaps isn't it? Too general. But these are the basics only.
