Suwon, South Korea
Boys are stupid.
I went into Itaewon last week. This guy hits on me at the internet cafe. Now, I was having a smashing day: went to the bookstore, had a lamb donair (hot damn!), even, yes I said EVEN had a latte from Starbucks. Things were good.
So, there I am, minding my own business and this Indian guy sits down right beside me which I think is strange because there are lots of other seats and he's not Korean, thus, he should know about "personal space".
Then he gets up, returns with two sodas and hands me one. I look at him for the first time. Pretty darn cute. So we chat a bit. Exchange email addresses. Then I leave to get my phone, run into him again while I'm waiting outside the phone place. We go to KFC for a lemonade. Have a nice time talking. Which is weird because I haven't flirted or dated a guy sober in...nevermind.
He sends me a mesage the next morning, "you're so sweet" blah, blah, blah. I play it cool. Wait four hours to return his message, then he wants to know if I want to hang out. No, I don't I say, (at this point its 4 p.m. and I'm quite comfortable drinking my wine and watching t.v. in my underwear ;) ) "but later in the week is good."
Next day I send him a message over the internet, say Thursday, Friday or Saturday is good for me. No reply all week.
THEN, Saturday night 6 p.m. the dufass calls me and we agree to meet, he's going to come down and we'll go out. Not two seconds later, he calls right back, saying he forgot about a computer appointment. What???? Has to cancel.
First of all, I do confess, I was an absolute moron for agreeing to meet him on such short notice as it was (in my defense, it was Saturday and I was BORED). But Come On.
So now I just really hope he calls back so I can say, "sorry, busy!" Juvenile, yes. That doesn't mean I don't want to do it. And I sooo will.
Like I said: boys are stupid.
Gotta work, will post pics soon and give more details of regular life in case anyone's interested.
